Yes, Italy has hundreds if not thousands of such charming shores, islands, rocky isles, harbours and so on… And yes, most of them surely are simply gorgeous, but there must be a reason why the Emerald Coast – Costa Smeralda – off the north-eastern coast of Sardinia carries its name. The Emerald is SO EMERALD… Paraphrasing an advertising saying… In northern Sardinia, and mostly around La Maddalena archipelago – the emerald seems to be a state of mind… or rather state of spirit! 😊
